Omnific Publishing has an amazing event going on to benefit breast cancer research. They are supporting the organization Save the Ta-Tas and July 5 through the end of September, will be selling two love anthologies in anticipation for October, Breast Cancer Awareness month. Summer Breeze has no explicit sex, while Heat Wave is geared for the more saucy! Traci, Omnific Marketing Associate, was kind enough to tell us more about their event.
Julie: How did Omnific come to be involved with Save the Ta-Tas?
Traci: We wanted to find a charity that affected mostly women. And Save the Tatas matches our style – we are a little bit different from other organizations.
Julie: Two romance anthologies is a great idea. Were these specifically written for this event?
Traci: Yes, these stories were all written specifically for the anthologies by current or upcoming Omni authors. One is sweet, one is heat!
Julie: Can you briefly explain how the event works?
Traci: Yes, the anthologies will be available July 5th through September 30 so we can calculate and collect all proceeds in time to make a donation during Breast Cancer Awareness month in October. They will be available through Omnific’s site: www.omnificpublishing.com , and on Amazon and BN.com as usual, in both ebook and print formats.
There is some talk of future availability, but really we want to promote this current charity project. I think sweet and sexy summer reading feels better when you are helping others, don’t you?
Julie: You currently have a blog hop going with the participating anthology authors. Can you tell us a bit about that?
Traci: Yes, our own amazing Lisa Sanchez, author of Eve of Samhain and the sequel, Pleasures Untold, is hosting the blog hop: http://www.calicheermom.com/2011/06/meet-author-monday_27.html
That girl is a powerhouse. She wrote a story for the “Heat Wave” anthology, which makes sense if you’ve read her books (rowr! sexy!). Each author participating in the blog hop has a link list. Just follow the list and hop from author to author. The idea is to find as many “new to you” authors as you can, and hopefully some great new reading material as well. Leave a comment as you hop from blog to blog, because these ladies love to hear from new -and old- readers.
Thanks so much for letting everyone know about this! Let’s Save the Ta-tas!
